At SMAHRT, we don’t stop after the research is done. We want our work to form the backbone of policies and other interventions that directly affect adolescents and families.
We have used our research to help make a Family Media Plan, which is geared towards parents in assisting them with their children and social media, TV, smartphones, computers, etc.
We have also used our research to help other clinicians through the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Our research contributed to the National Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine’s consensus report: Preventing Bullying Through Science, Policy, and Practice from May 2016.
At SMAHRT, we want to see our research do more than just be filed away.We want laws, rules, systems, and codes to be supported by research evidence.
